Challenge
Climate projections showed extreme heat days would quadruple by mid-century without action, but the client recognized that communicating this urgency required more than statistics. Users needed to understand both the threat to their specific location and how bold climate action could dramatically reduce dangerous heat exposure in their communities.
Solution
Created an accessible interactive tool allowing users to compare future heat scenarios for any US location under different climate action pathways. Simple interface design and clear time-based comparisons made complex climate data immediately understandable and actionable on a modest budget.
